My opinion is that it is complicated and we'll probabaly never know the truth other than it was one seriously flawed police investigation and original prosecution that led to entrenched attitudes within the police & justice system.

The latest decision appears to be the right one in that the evidence did not prove beyond reasonable doubt that David Bain did it. It does not answer could he have done it, that's how the system works.

Sad that a family that had so many problems has such a prominent place in our history. I also agree that even if he did do it he has suffered enough over the years although I have some doubts about the level of compensation being talked about but again that is tied to the system not any consideration outside of the rules.

I wish him well but equally wish we could learn to deal with these issues that will always arise in a more humane manner and with the human and financial cost.

Similarly I applaud Joe Karam for his single minded dedication to seeing this through no matter the personal and financial cost, David Bain would have lived out his life in prison if it weren't for Joe Karam.

Couldnt have put it better myself. HUMANE! Im now getting extremely frustrated and angry with the ongoing media rubbish. I swear some element of this has been front page news every day since. Leave it alone already!
