Oh my...I so dislike discussions like this :(
Why can't people just accept that this exists like the beginning of time and it's not an illness.
But I guess that will not happen any time soon, no?
In the Middle East gays get punished. There are only two countries, I think, where they can live in peace, on, if I'm not wrong is Lebanon.
They just deported 3 guys from Asia for being gay here in Kuwait :S

i also do not understand the concept of being "anti-gay". this type of ignorance and inflexibility completely eludes me, but I'm glad voices like you are here to comment on a pressing social issue. And yeah, I always thought that the notion of homosexuality as genetic was ridiculous

Ive often wondered what its like to live being "anti", whatever it is that you condemn be it homosexuality, sex before marriage, sex change. It cant be good for you but then, perhaps its no different to me being anti rape or whaling??

I have a sense of these people living a repressed, sad existance where your enjoyment of the world and its people is greatly limited. But then again, Im sure theres people who would say that if I added Whale meat to my menu Id be alot happier for it. Needless to say I dont agree.

I realise there are differences, the primary one, and my entire calculation on whether I approve of something or not...Does the activity hurt anyone other than the person doing it? The simplest concept but seemingly beyond many.

For the most part I try not to let such discussions get to me but every so often Im in the mood for having a spit and the comment "No one can say Im a homophobe because I support protection for potential gays in the womb” I really had to read three times to be sure Id got it right!

Thank you Nicole and Gale.
