My first recorded thoughts...
I just found a (well buried) word doc on my computer. Is a short diary I kept while I was living on Mangawhai between September 2004 until April 2005 when I moved to Auckland. I had completely forgotten about it. Check this out! ![]()

I just finished reading a great book about a lady who was a prostitute in nz for many years, just telling it how it was. Prostitution interests me, always has, ive gone so far as considering it for a career at times. Have never really thought id be sexy enough (or brazen enough) to make a great success of it though, and then the ‘society’ dilemmas would always be an issue. The book certainly gives it added appeal, Id love all of the lessons it could teach me…I read up on my numerology last week and it said part of my life’s quest is to experience many different sorts of relationships, that’s me to a tee.

Pimping New Zealand Punters
Yes, yes we are! World first right here in New Zealand. I was going to wait until we had some bods up there before making this official announcement but I’m too excited about it (and notoriously impatient). The boys are working on their profiles as we speak! This is no small deal, some explanation from the website:
Among our discussions on Escorts Forum we’ve often debated how our Punters would feel were roles reversed. What would they charge? How would they advertise? Could they do it full-stop? All of the men (and woman?) offering you their services on this website are well known members of our Escorts Forum community and are putting themselves on the line in the name of “living a little"! We applaud them! Their date with you could well be their FIRST (and no more than their fifth). They will make every effort to give you a GREAT time!
Willis, the pink dude with the brows, is our hot mascot and we think he’s wonderful. If anyone actually does this I will be immensly impressed. It is going to take balls (
), particularly given that some who are considering it were also the guys who said they couldn’t in one of our previous threads. This is open to men and woman of any orientation, though given the complete lack of female punters involved in EF I’m expecting a male dominated gallery
. Where are you ladies?! We’re going to have a ball

In search of the perfect Brothel
These ladies are campaigning for the legalisation of prostitution in Brittain. They found their perfect model Brothels in NZ! Bonton in Wellington and Purely Blue in Auckland.
Congratulations to these two establishments! Fantastic. Purely Blue I was very aware of before it arrived in New Zealand so no surprises for me there. Id like to think that gents with itches to scratch will show their support…encourage a job well done so to speak.
I realise it’s perhaps a little bit scary visiting an establishment where the woman have right of refusal. Unfortunately, all too many prefer their woman a little more desperate.
Far from all though, so, for those of you with balls, and an interest in the standards of this great business…go get that itch scratched
.
Good work New Zealand, once again. Now all we need to do it get the rates higher!

Act helps health and safety of sex workers
Press Release: New Zealand Government
Hon Lianne Dalziel
Minister of Commerce, Minister for Food Safety,
Associate Minister of Justice, MP for Christchurch East
Associate Justice Minister Lianne Dalziel today welcomed a report which shows the Prostitution Reform Act (PRA) 2003 has had a positive effect on the health and safety of sex workers and has not led to a predicted increase in their numbers.
The Prostitution Law Reform Committee, chaired by former Police Assistant Commissioner Paul Fitzharris, was asked to report within five years of the decriminalisation of prostitution to assess the impact of the law change on the human rights, welfare, and occupational health and safety of sex workers, and the ban on the use of young people in prostitution.
Lianne Dalziel thanked the Committee for its work and said the report was valuable in putting balance and evidence into the debate around the decriminalisation of prostitution.
“The report indicates that the numbers have remained more or less the same since the Act came into force and that most sex workers are better off under the PRA than they were previously, which was the intention of the Act.
“There’s no evidence of increased numbers of people being used in underage prostitution. In fact, the PRA has raised awareness of the problem,” Lianne Dalziel said.
“The PRA has had a marked effect in safeguarding the rights of sex workers. Removing the taint of illegality has empowered sex workers by reducing the opportunity for coercion and exploitation.”
The report says many of the perceptions held about the sex industry are based on stereotypes and a lack of information. Lianne Dalziel said the report shatters several myths with the following findings:
- Coercion is not widespread.
- Sex workers are more likely to be the victims of crime, rather than offenders.
- The links between crime and prostitution are tenuous and the report found no evidence of a specific link between them. The link between under-aged prostitutes and youth gangs is often a case of underage people hanging around with friends who happen to be in youth gangs.
- The reasons people joined and stayed in the sex industry are complex, however money was the main reason.
- Fewer than 17 per cent said they are working to support drug or alcohol use, although when broken down by sector street-based sex workers are more likely to report needing to pay for drugs or alcohol (45 per cent).
- The perceived scale of a ‘problem’ in a community can be directly linked to the amount and tone of media coverage it gets.
- Much of the reporting on the numbers of sex workers and underage involvement in prostitution has been exaggerated.
- There is no link in New Zealand between the sex industry and human trafficking.
Lianne Dalziel said the government would consider the report’s recommendations. The Committee doesn’t think any further review of the operation of the PRA is necessary until 2018, 15 years after its enactment.
The report is available on the Ministry of Justice website: www.justice.govt.nz

Launched! My new photography blog
Woohoo. Another job well done Sally. You will see a new link in my navigation bar above which reads Photography. Ive now got somewhere to post all of my photos. Not that Ive got alot to show you yet given the neglect my camera has suffered but I WILL, and its going to be fun.
Id put off getting this Photography blog together undecided as to which domain I should attach it to or whether it should have its own entirely. Advantages and disadvantages to everything. Ive gone this way for now. Ill be posting decent sized images because photos look so much better when you can see them and I think our internet speeds are increasingly up to it.
Along with launch of said blog today is the first of many for Daily Photo (inspired entirely by Nicole, thank you). The image just to the right should, all going to plan, change every day (that I do it). Click it
. Ill be cheating a little by scrounging through archives occasionally (like today) but Im looking forward to pushing myself on this one. Ive always got ideas, hopefully now ill start on them. You can, of course, subscribe to my Photography blog, I am
